created for the SAMPE ultralight bridge contest, 03 May 2005, Long
Beach, CA. Designed in SolidWorks. Made from carbon fiber
and kevlar fabrics, with aluminum honeycomb, structural foam, and
kevlar traffic stripes, as well as the required glass-polyresin
pultrusions. Supported 5500 pounds ultimate load and weighed 4.5
pounds. |
(Also was on
the ultralight wing team, which supported 535 pounds and weighed 1-1/4
pounds) |
